Just a day after old sister company revealed the Rolls-Royce Dawn, Bentley has revealed an even more significant and important all-new car, particularly for us in the Middle East. Here is the long-mooted SUV from the luxury marque, which it claims is the fastest, most powerful and luxurious SUV in the world.

Watch a video of the new car by clicking below.

The 4WD super-SUV gets an ‘all-new’ W12 (though it can only be an upgrade of the existing W12, why would you build a new one?) putting out 600bhp and 663lb ft of torque, which can move this collossal (it’s longer and wider, but lower than a Range Rover) 2422kg beast at impressive velocities. 0-100kph is given as a staggering 4.1 seconds and top speed is 301kph.

Drivers get up to eight modes for variations of on-road and indeed off-road driving in the new Bentley Bentayga, the driver even gets information on pitch, roll, wheel articulation, steering angle etc on a screen. There is even a skid-plate in the lower part of the front bumper – Bentley really do seem to want you to actually take this into the rough!

Of course it has all the usual driver and safety electronic aids including Traffic Sign Recognition and obviously 360 degree cameras with parking aids – useful for such a behemoth.

Naturally the car will be packed with the usual Bentley levels of luxury, and a raft of customisation and personalisation offerings.

It’ll be shown at the Frankfurt this month and go on sale soon after with an anticipated 3000 to be built next year. No officially prices, but we estimate around AED1.2m.

We’re just please that they didn’t go with the ungainly 2012 concept car, this certainly has a more Bentleyesque look about it. Get used to it, we reckon there will be a few of these running about in the region come 2016.
