Car and bike lovers, owners, modifiers, classic collectors, even those into model or remote-controlled cars will all gather together at the latest and greatest festival of motoring in Dubai. This is the one time the entire car community of the UAE comes together.

If you’ve got a cool car or bike, register now to take part in the Meet 13 – hurry, spaces are limited! But even if you don’t have anything to bring, come along anyway to check out all the spectacular metal on display, some great exhibits from our sponsors and partners and just to soak in the buzz and car talk!

If you’re bringing a car or bike, it must be road-registered and street-legal and owned by the driver bringing the vehicle to the Meet. Entry is subject to approval, and vehicles will not be allowed in without a vehicle pass.

There’s even a chance to win a trophy in our Show ‘n Shine competition, where you could win a Best of Category and Best of Show prize, based on voting by visitors and spectators to the show – so make sure you get all your friends to come along 😉

Shahzad Sheikh – 21 March

It all happens tomorrow! Phew!

Last night we had a meeting with all our brilliant senior Marshalls and everyone’s briefed and knows exactly how the day’s going to go and what to do during the Meet. We need to take a moment here and salute our fantastic team of Organisers, Marshalls and Volunteers who are all giving up there Fridays to help put this show on. You guys are the best!

They’ll easily be identified by their smart yellow Meet 13 shirts, so do listen to their instructions carefully, approach them for any help and info, and give them a big thumbs up and a grin just for being there!

MME Meet 13, 22 March 2013, Dubai Festival City

Today’s been all about set-up at the venue and as you can see from the above picture, there’s already quite a lot in place. There will be food vendors, toilets and the weather is predicted to be dry and warm with highs of 28 degrees and lows of 21.

Registrations is of course now closed but we’ve managed to approve 92% of the cars, bikes and trucks that registered – and there’s an amazing array of machinery lined up for tomorrow. Check out our gallery of just some of the vehicles expected to be there.

And there’s loads to do including test driving some Fords, getting an amazing off-road ride, taking part in a tyre-changing competition and the chance to win a sideways ride with UAE Drift King, Ahmed Alamri! Don’t forget you can also vote for your favourite cars on the day to win their categories.

As mentioned above there is FREE entry for everyone, so just park in the Festival City Mall and come out of the exit nearest Toys Ur Us, you’ll see it signposted from there.

Hope you’ve been enjoying the cheeky event posters we’ve been – you can find them all here. Please do share and continue to spread the word.

MME Meet 13, 22 March 2013, Dubai Festival City

Shahzad Sheikh – 20 March

Only two days left!

And set up at the venue for Meet 13 has started. The team is out on the site of Meet 13 today measuring and marking up the space, and trying to see if we can squeeze any more cars in! There will be tons of amazingly cool metal to check out at Meet 13.

Construction has started on some of the amazing exhibits that will be on show at Meet 13 this time. There’ll be a chance to meet UAE Drift King, Ahmed Alamri, experience an amazing off-road demonstration with 4×4 legend Fraser Martin, and you’ll be able to take part in a tyre-changing competition with prizes up for grabs!

Just added some of the last cars to get approval to this album. Remember if you have received a pass – and do check your junk and spam folders too – then you MUST print it out and bring it with you or your car will not be allowed in!

Only 8% of registrations failed to get approval due to us running out of space and late registration, so most of you should have got a vehicle pass. If you didn’t, you can always park in the Mall (loads of parking in there) and just walk across from the Toys Ur Us exit. See you there!

Shahzad Sheikh – 18 March

Meet 13 update:

We’ve already got more cars registered than the space available! Oops!

So registrations will be closed tomorrow morning, and we’re only likely to be approving bikes till then. Plus we’ve got a handful of spaces left in the Classics and Exotics categories.

Even if you’ve already registered, it doesn’t mean your vehicle is in. Your only guarantee of getting your car, bike or truck into Meet 13 is if you have a received a Vehicle Pass like that shown below. You MUST print this out and bring it with you or security WILL NOT let you into the Meet venue.

We emphasise again – this is a MUST, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

Entry to The MME Meet remains FREE, and if you haven’t got a pass, you can still come and enjoy the atmosphere – just park in the Festival City Mall and come out through the exit nearest Toys Ur Us. Meet 13 will be just across the road from there.

Additionally all those people who have vehicle passes already and are sending through SMS votes for the car are wasting their money! Votes will ONLY be counted during the show and only for cars that are actually at the Meet!

Set up begins tomorrow – phew!

MME Meet 13, 22 March 2013, Dubai Festival City

Shahzad Sheikh – 17 March

Less than a week away! Just got back from a meeting to finalise the layout and structure of the event venue.

We also have a map for the event location now (see above). This is referred to as area 8F next to Toys Ur Us at Festival City. If you’re not bringing a car, bike or truck to participate you can just park in the mall parking and come out from the exit nearest the Toy Shop.

All those participating and in possession of a vehicle pass must drive along the main road past the mall complex and approach it from the other side – don’t worry, it will be sign posted.

We’re going to have plenty to do on the day including a chance to experience and off-road demo, take part in a tyre changing competition and take in some R/C car action. We can neither confirm, nor deny that there may be some Harlem Shaking going on too!

And if you feel hungry, KFC, Hardees, Pizza Hut, Desert Chill ice cream and more will be available and toilets will be nearby.

Registrations have progressed very well indeed and we’re already into the sort of numbers that few other car shows can ever hope to achieve. Later this week, we may have to cut them off, as we reach close to capacity. So if you want to bring a cool car, bike or truck, register now at themeet.ae.

If approved, you’ll be emailed a vehicle pass, which you MUST print out and bring with you, or security will not let you in the venue. But do not register more than once, make sure you put in your correct phone number and email address and BE PATIENT! We’re approving each registration ourselves, so it can take a bit of time.

Even if you can’t bring your vehicle, get all your friends and family and come down anyway for a great day out at the last big car event in Dubai before the summer kicks in!

Motoring Middle East Meet 13 - MME Meet 13: 22 March 2013, 10am-10pm, Dubai Festival City

Shahzad Sheikh – 7 March

The registration page is live! Get registering now. You will NOT be allowed into Meet 13 unless you get approval through our registration process. You’ll be sent a vehicle pass by email which you must printout and bring with you to gain entry on the day! That applies to all vehicles including cars, bikes and trucks. Do this now, as spaces are limited.

Entry remains FREE. And spectators and visitors are most welcome and don’t need to register. Just park in the Dubai Festival City Mall and walk across – easy. See you there!

Shahzad Sheikh – 27 February

Just wanted to tell you all about the next big MME Meet. It’s coming 22 March at Dubai Festival City. It’ll be bigger and better than ever. It’ll also be safer and better organised, and it will be stricter than ever.

Yes we were thinking of charging cars, but we’ve decided that since it’s always been about car enthusiasts and the community, entry will remain FREE – but everyone bringing a vehicle will have to register it in advance.

This is so we can control the number of cars and ensure that they all get to park and be displayed properly inside the event venue, and to ensure the safety of visitors and pedestrians within. Soon a special registration page will go live online and I’ll share the link with you. No vehicle will be allowed in without a vehicle pass.

Register now in order to bring a vehicle inside – spaces will be limited. Having said that there is a lot of parking at Dubai Festival City and we’ll have an adjacent car park too, so you can always just walk into the Meet venue itself.

All registrations will be vetted and cars will be subject to approval before being emailed a vehicle pass. The vehicles must be privately-owned, road registered and street legal. No promotional vehicles will be permitted. And manufacture/dealer press and PR test cars will NOT be permitted entry.

Last time we had way too many cars turn up, but we want to ensure a good show, and a safe and enjoyable event for everyone. Because of this we’ve had to book a much larger space, have better organisation, increased safety and infrastructure (including lighting, toilets, F&B, civil defense vehicles), and of course many more bodies on the ground to run it. It’s turned into a very expensive event.

To help make it happen, we have opened it up to sponsorship and also to exhibitors – and mega thanks and big-up to those who’ve already signed up (we’ll be announcing them soon). You guys are the greatest!

However there’s still some way to go, and plenty of spaces available so should anyone, or any organisation or company be interested in sponsoring or exhibiting at the Meet, contact us now to sort something out. Email MME@MotoringME.com!

Thanks for all your continued support and encouragement. The main reason we do this event is for the motoring community out there, and as such we’re trying to keep it free, casual and, most importantly, fun!

Can’t wait and hope to see you all there!

Shahzad Sheikh – 25 February

We’re already signing up sponsors and exhibitors for what will be the biggest and best event yet. But space is limited, so all interested parties should get in touch with us NOW. There will be a pre-registration process this time and only privately owned, non-promotional cars/bikes will be allowed in. So if you want to exhibit a vehicle/product/service get in touch! Email MME@MotoringME.com!
