UAE – Honda launches own used approved scheme

Al-Futtaim Honda in the UAE has launched its own used approved programme, despite Al-Futtaim also running popular used car supermarket, AutoMall.
With car purchasing in the UAE becoming more difficult due to greater restrictions when it comes to getting car loans, and with the price of fuel threatening to rise yet again, many motorists are looking to reduce their costs. And when it comes to buying a replacement car, the second-hand route can save a buyer thousands over the price of a new car.
And yet with safety and quality checks undertaken by reputable used approved schemes, buying used can be as fear-free as buying new.
This particularly scheme has been launched at the Honda showroom in Dubai Festival City, but will be rolled out across the Emirates from January 2012. Every car will come with a Honda warranty up to three years and unlimited kms from the first registration date for 2010 and up to five years for 2011 models onwards. Finance, Insurance and registration facilities are also available at the dealership.
Mark Kass, Regional Managing Director at Al-Futtaim Honda said: “This is a significant step forward for Honda in the UAE. Customers can now get a value for money quality pre-owned car from the exclusive custodians of Honda brand in the UAE. We believe that the Honda Approved program will make it easier for customers to purchase their dream Honda vehicle.”
