Nissan SmartCar App
Collaboration between Dubai Police will see introduction of Smart Response in Smart App equipped Nissans
At GITEX Technology Week yesterday, Nissan announced a collaboration with Dubai Police that will see the introduction and implementation of the ‘Smart Response’ road safety technology.

The service will be offered as standard in Nissan Patrol and Maxima models. It is incorporated into Nissan’s SmartCar App which has been developed with Bright Box Middle East using Etisalat M2M SIM cards and launched last year at the Dubai Motor Show.

In addition to the above the App now has been updated with features such as Valet mode, Travel Mode and Self Health Check as well as, of course, the Smart Response system.
In the event of a collision or accident as detected by the onboard sensors, the system contacts the Dubai Police. The Police will then attempt to contact the driver to determine the severity of the incident and respond accordingly. If they cannot establish contact, they will dispatch a patrol car to investigate.
