New Lotus dealer announced for UAE
Dubai’s worst kept automotive secret is officially out – Al-Futtaim is going to be selling Lotus cars

Trading Enterprises, part of Al-Futtaim Automotive, has signed up to be the exclusive distributor for Lotus cars across the UAE with sales and after sales service facilities.
Some of you may already have seen the green shop-front coverings at the soon-to-open showroom in Festival City next to the Fisker showroom in Dubai Festival City – if not, well we posted them our Facebook page sometime ago, so you’ve no excuse!
Following on from the opening of this flagship showroom in late October, other sales centres will be added in due course – depending on how many of you buy these pure driving machines (a few more than bought Fiskers we suspect).
The cars initially going on sale will be the Porsche Cayman-chasing Lotus Evora and Evora S models.
Also available at the showroom will be the full range of outrageously expensive merchandise in the Lotus Originals boutique.
Lotus Cars Ltd Chief Operating Officer Aslam Farikullah said: ‘The Middle East is a strategic market with significant potential for Lotus and the UAE is a substantial part of that opportunity. We are delighted to partner with Al-Futtaim.
‘Between us, we will introduce customers in the UAE to the world of Lotus, one of high performance, award winning cars with world-class ride and handling, and we look forward to bringing this new audience close to our brand which is synonymous with motorsport and Formula 1 – both historically and today.’
Frankly the return of Lotus to our market is long overdue, and as fans of the marque ourselves, we can’t wait see the cars here.
