Third generation of popular VW SUV revealed in China
Volkswagen has just revealed its all-new third generation Volkswagen Touareg SUV in China. China, Europea and Russia are the biggest markets for the Touareg with nearly one million previously sold.
The new car is slightly wider and longer with luggage capacity increased from 697-litres to an impressive 810-litres. Because of a mix of aluminium and steel construction the body is actually 106kg lighter.
Most market will get diesel engines, the Middle East will probably see a 340bhp V6 petrol engine.
But VW is focussing on on-board tech with a 12-inch digital instrument display and a 15-inch infotainment display, and a high-level of personalisation. Plus extensive safety and driver’s aids systems.
