Juke + GT-R = Juke-R

Juke? Joke? Oh yeah, who’s laughing now?

Juke and GT-R equals Juke-R

Shock, horror! Is this the new 2012 Nissan GT-R facelift? Nah, of course it’s not. (More and video after the jump)

Many years ago I remember Nissan UK gutted a little Micra, added a massive bodykit and stuck a bit old engine where the rear seats used to be. It was mental and built for no other purpose than to show off, and because they could.

Following the ‘because we can’ spirit Nissan has gone a step further and perhaps attempted a splicing that some would find sacrilegious and perhaps an aberration. We’ve known Nissan were up to this for a while, having released teaser stuff, but here now, is the first official image of the shocking spawn of a Nissan Juke and the GT-R supercar.

The Juke-R has been unveiled in Spain it marries the slightly oddball looks of the compact Crossover with the fearsome internals, including the drivetrain of the awesome GT-R.

They’re only making two of these, one in right-hand drive and the other in left-hand drive built in collaboration with motorspors outfit RML with help from Nissan Technology Centre for Europe. See the videos here http://www.youtube.com/user/NissanJuke

Hmm… thinking of bizarro combinations, and if we have to stick with the same group of manufacturers, how about a Volkswagen Passat Wagon fitted with Lamborghini Gallardo mechanicals?
