Frankfurt 2013: Citroen Cactus, DS3 Racing & Wild Rubis
Three very different concepts on the Citroen stand at Frankfurt

Citroen debuted the Cactus concept which is said to indicate the direction for future versions of the C-line of cars including the C4 Picasso.
Here’s some more nonsense spiel for you (there was a lot of it at Frankfurt): ‘Citroen Cactus is a desirable, user-friendly car that creates a unique harmony between the distinctive and the practical, offering comfort for all occupants with easy-to-use technology.’
It also has something called ‘Airbumps’ – customisable design components covered with a soft skin featuring air capsules that protect the body of the car.
Inside there’s a 100% digital interface for the driver and sofa-style front seats – and of course it’s a hybrid.
The Wild Rubis Concept was unveiled at Shanghai in April and previews a future SUV in the DS-line and is all about refinement and quality finish.
These pair of cheeky little DS3s were originally seen at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. The DS3 Cabrio Racing features bespoke Moondark matt textured grey paintwork with gloss black 19-inch wheels.
I loved this little gold and black job too, looked very mean indeed.
