Frankfurt 2013: Brabus Classic
These stunning restored old Benzes were scene-stealers

Once I got onto the Brabus stand, I became utterly blinkered when it came to all the monstrously over-powered new metal on the stand, including the crazy six-wheel G-class.
All I could see were this grand old ladies done up to the nines.
You see, as well as hyper-tuning modern Mercs, Brabus also now does bespoke restorations and maintainance on classic Mercedes-Benz models.
It’s a full body-off ground-up rebuild with the emphasis on detail and traditional craftmanship to end up with cars that look even better than when they rolled off the production line way back when.
The best of news of all – they’re coming to Dubai. Okay, not the full restoration facility, although you could always send your old Benz back to the Brabus workshop.
However many of the models they are restoring, they actually own outright and will sell to an admirer and aficionado of classic metal. We can’t wait to see one or two of these at the Dubai Motor Show later this year.

I heard it on Dubai Eye that you were in Franfurt and I’m ever so sad I was unable to make it having had my foot surgery. I’ve been waiting for you to post pictures and information about BRABUS. Hope to see yo when you return.
