Middle East Motor Tuning Show was a hit (with video)

Jaw-dropping cars and sideways sensations delight showgoers

Last weekend’s Middle East Motor Tuning Show was the best yet. It had a great line up of exhibitors, and a stunning array or amazing modified, restored and customised car, beautifully presented by their owners. Plus there was some proper 4×4 hooning for the Patrol and Land Cruiser crowd and some sensational sideways action from Drift UAE.

Visiting the show again on the Friday, saw the opportunity to meet and talk to a lot of the owners who were displaying cars – and hoping to win one of several prizes for their cars. There were some simply stunning examples from an incredibly well presented Datsun 1600 SSS, to big the Dodge Truck, plus cars with crazy doors and suspension.

Plus things got rowdy in the sound-off challenges with some booming sound-systems on hand.

One of our favourite bits was the Drift Show from Drift UAE, one of the fastest growing and most popular forms of motorsport at the moment.

The demo was put on by local drifters Ahmed Amri of Emirates Drift Team, Fahd Alloghani of X Six Drift team, Ahmed Omar of a UAE Drift Force, Yousef AlRumaithi , Ahmed Rumaithi and Mubarak Al Otaiba from Team Pirated of Drift , Abdullah Habib from Team Dynamics, the Lebanese Drifter and the youngest at the age of 19 Jihad Hassan and finally Samer Khadra of SSK Drift.

Wanna catch some of the action for yourself if you didn’t see it at MEMTS? Head to Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi tomorrow – show starts at 8pm.
