Late Afternoon Jukebox: Cars, Girls, Music Done Right

An apology
by Imthishan Giado

After the travesty that was my last post, I feel it necessary to offer something to wash the taste out of Abby Cubey’s epic masterpiece. So here instead are five music video with cars, which won’t induce vomiting.

First up, let’s get the obvious ones out of the way first. Here’s Cosmic Girl, Jay Kay’s epic ode to Ferrari and Lamborghini – for which he was rewarded with permission to buy an Enzo, don’t forget.

Then there’s the epic, uncut version of the Cardigan’s My Favourite Game, the video that introduced Grand Theft Auto to the world long before its creators actually did.

How about a little ’50s vintage action? Check out Paula Abdul, and (whoa!) Keanu Reeves in some classic coupes from the ’50s. Which sadly, don’t make it all the way to the end.

Ballads not your thing? What about Danica Patrick, a Pagani Zonda, Dale Earnhardt Jr in a Fezza F430 racing down the hill to Monaco? It can only be Jehova.

Let’s change up the pace entirely, with some deliciously creepy electro from the sublime Depeche Mode. I can’t bear to spoil anything about this video, except that it involves a Ford Taurus, and a masked man.

And to close it all off; it wouldn’t be a post from me without this one, would it?
