JACCK Goes To The Ball Game

Hotdogs, Baseball and Cool Cars
By Imthishan Giado

Our boys from the Jebel Ali Cool Car Klub (JACCK to their friends) went cruising last night and they brought some bad ass rides. Check out the full gallery after the jump.

The route wound from Safa Park past the Burj Khalifa, up to the Dubai Little League baseball field. Not many know about the existence of the latter; according to JACCK’s Todd Stermer, it’s been around for more than 20 years and counts more than 400 kids as players. Bet you didn’t know baseball was such hot stuff in the UAE, eh?

Tariq Javaid's Camaro took three years to complete, with Dh21,000 worth of coins pasted on.

In attendance was Tariq Javaid’s awesome UAE tribute Camaro. The full story can be read here courtesy of JACCK member Imran Malik; short version, it’s a V6 Camaro with thousands of UAE currency painstakingly pasted on by its proud owner.

Wonder what happens at 120kph?

This was also the first outing for a Factory Five Hot Rod built by Sharjah’s own Liberty Motorsports. Naturally, the kids went crazy for this one…

Speaking of Liberty Motorsports, marketing manager Mitch Perera was in attendance with Big Blue, his own drop dead gorgeous Trans Am. We hear it’s for sale…

Johnny B’s hopelessly charming restored Fiat 500 was also on hand, here parked next to a hulking great FJ Cruiser.

Anyone fancy a late ’70s Camaro? Or a C4 Vette? Or Imran’s prized Trans Am?

Me, I’m just a sucker for a Triumph TR6.
