Love Bug Museum could open in UAE – need your help!

Did you catch Graham Henderson this morning on Dubai Eye 103.8FM talking about the Herbie Land project?
He was also at our meet on Friday, and you can catch both him and the Love Bug at the Autodrome tomorrow morning from 10am (tomorrow’s race there).
Herbie Land is an amazing idea that would see a collection of the cars featured in the Disney movie series housed in an exciting museum right here in the UAE – with interactive experiences for all the family.
Inspired by the movies from Love Bug (1968) to Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005) the centrepiece of Henderson’s proposed theme park would be a collection of original Herbies from the private colelction of Doug Kaufmann. It’s the largest collection of original Herbies in the world and includes one-of-a-kind examples from several of the movies, spanning nearly 30-years of the Herbie series.
They include Herbie and Giselle (a powder-blue 1976 Lancia Montecarlo Scorpion) from Herbie goes to Monte Carlo, plus Junkyard Herbie, Derby Herbie and Lindsay’s NASCAR Herbied from Full Loaded.
In the museum there will be static displays with videos and interactive activities and there will be an opportunity to get a ride in the Herbies.
