FJ Cruiser Lives! Middle East Production to Continue

Toyota FJ Cruiser Street limited edition

Good news, fans of Toyota’s retro-styled 4×4! The FJ Cruiser will continue to be produced for the Middle East and a few select other markets.

Contrary to earlier reported news that FJ would globally cease production in August, we can exclusively confirm via Toyota’s regional office that strong local demand for the SUV has granted it a stay of execution. Production at Toyota’s Hino subsidiary and sales throughout the GCC is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

Production of the FJ first began in 2006; it arrived in this region in late 2008. A number of local special editions ensued, including the Street, Stealth, TRD and the Artic Trucks-modified Xtreme.
