Bond is back! – Actually Aston returns to Dubai with new showroom and Vanquish

It’s been a while since Aston Martins were officially sold in the UAE – but now James Bond’s favourite car maker is back with a new showroom near Dubai Mall in the shadow of Burj Khalifa.
The British sports car marque, owned by Investment Dhar of Kuwait, took the opportunity to launch the all-new Vanquish in the UAE (replacing the DBS). And to mark the importance of the occasion, Neil Slade, GM of Aston Martin Middle East and North Africa and Tim Trenker, GM of Aston UAE were joined by the global CEO of Aston Martin, Dr Ulrich Bez.
The new Vanquish boasts a 6.0 V12 with 565bhp and sits on the latest, fourth generation of Aston’s VH aluminium platform first seen in 2001. The body is 25% stiffer and obviously lighter too, but more than that, it’s simply stunning. Read more here.
Aston Martin’s new showroom breaks tradition by being operated not by a local franchise, but Aston Martin directly. It’s a bold and surprising move, and one that will be watched closely. This also means that the dealership is taking over all aftersales, servicing and repair of new and old Aston Martins, and a new workshop facility is set to be completed shortly.
‘We already have a dedicated sales team in place ready to meet our customers’ deservedly high expectations. Not only do we promise the newest Aston Martin models in our showroom, but also the extremely high level of after-sales service that the Aston Martin brand calls for,’ said Trenker.
“Our Dubai showroom will be the first in the world to offer the new Vanquish, which shows how important the UAE is to us. The newest DB9, Vantage and Rapide models will of course be available as well,” said Trenker.
