Hundreds of new cars, tons of new launches (including a global one), loads of cool car stuff and US doing the Ignition Live talks!

Dubai Motor Show 2015

We’re about 10 days away from the biennial Dubai Motor Show 2015, the biggest and best car show in the region which will run at the Dubai World Trade Centre 10-14 November. Taking up 30% more hall space than ever before and expecting over 100,000 visitors, the organisers are claiming 157 new launches, over 600 cars on show, along with a spectacular gathering of superb classics and much, much more.

Plus Motoring Middle East – yes, that’s US! – will be running the daily Ignition Live Talks every evening at the Motor Show. We’ll be there with brilliant guests to talk about all things cars, classics and motor sports. You DO NOT want to miss those. More on that here.

We know Cadillac will be launching its new XT5 – it’s first ever launch outside of the USA, and a genuine global launch. Jaguar will bring the F-Pace SUV and there are claimed global premieres from Aston Martin, Hyundai, Mazda, McLaren and Nissan. Plus 139 regional premieres from over 150 exhibitors.

Here’s everything you need to know about preparing for this year’s epic Dubai Motor Show.

10-14 November at Dubai World Trade Centre

Public timings:
10 Nov – 6pm-10pm
11 Nov – 11am-10pm
12-13 Nov – 11am-11pm
14 Nov – 11am-10pm

Tickets:
AED65 per person (AED55 if you book online at www.DubaiMotorShow.com)
AED30 for kids (12-18)
Children under 12 go free

Transport:
The World Trade Centre is centrally located on Sheikh Zayed Road with paid parking in the attached Multi-storey and free parking in the large car parks at the back accessed by the footbridge. However these are all expected to fill up quickly and we recommend you use the Metro – World Trade Centre Metro station is very short walk from the exhibition halls.

Special guests:
Ken Block – professional rally driver and star of the Gymkhana viral hit videos will be at the show on the first day.
Kris Fade Virgin Radio RJ broadcasting live from the show.

Motoring Nostalgia

This year there will be a stunning display of some of the best classic cars in the world covering 40 years from 1950s to 1980s. These will include cars from the prestigious Tomini collection and Dr Muhammed Ben Sulayem’s extraordinary collection of American cars. You’ll find the Motoring Hall of Fame in Zaabeel Hall 1.

Tuning & Styling Workshops

GForce Performance will be doing daily live tuning shows during the show, actually customising a car during the show. Find them in Hall 8.

Dubai Distinctive Number Plates Auction

The show will host a live auction of Distinctive Dubai number plates held by Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA). The aution will be at the Al Multaqua Ballroom on 14th November 2:30pm-9:30pm, but registration will be from 11am onwards.

Jaguar Bloodhound Experience

Jaguar is partnered with the Bloodhound SSC land speed record project, aiming to hit 1000mph (1600kph) and breaking the sound barrier on the ground. They will have a simulator at the show to enable visitors to experience what it would be like to drive the amazing Bloodhound SSC.

Land Rover Experience

Land Rover will set up a range of man-made tracks and obstacles in the Arena Plaza outside allowing show-goers to try its vehicles in extreme conditions.

Toyota Land Cruiser Experience

Similarly Toyota will also be running a live demonstration of the new 2016 Land Cruiser’s off-road abilities on an obstacle course.
