Details and sample cars and prices of a new used approved dealer from Al Habtoor.

This morning I popped down to the opening of what was touted as a car supermarket and dubbed ‘The Car Zone Megastore’. So unsurprisingly was expecting a giant warehouse full of cars. In fact the ‘boutique’ showroom is barely even the size of a proper dealership with 16 cars parked inside and another 20 or so in the car park at the back (although it’s uncovered).

Having said that, the marketing guy told me that they had around 300 cars actually available for purchase, but stored elsewhere and that they were building up to the launch of a much bigger facility in the very near future – somewhere that would house over 200 cars indoors. In the meantime details of the entire inventory is stored on the intranet stock system, but the external website isn’t up and running as yet.

The fact that Al-Habtoor Motors is behind The Car Zone obviously means there’s a surplus of Mitsubishis although there are some other makes available too.

The new venture promises single-owner used cars with low mileage and having undergone a 111-point inspection. For peace of mind, Car Zone offers a 14-day exchange policy and the option of up to five years top-up warranty.

Whilst the cars on display weren’t exactly the most sexy or desirable cars on the road, it has to be said that for a used approved scheme, the prices did appear reasonable, and they’ve done a good job of pasting the key details, including price, on the window of each car.

Head over there now (on Sheikh Zayed Road, just after the First Gulf Bank Metro station) and they’re offering a AED1000 voucher for Lulu to the first 50 buyers.

Example cars
2008 Chevrolet Lumina SS with 52,000 – AED 66,500
2007 Mercedes C230 with 97,700km – AED 64,900
2008 2.4-litre Honda Accord with 65,000 – AED 57,000
2011 1.3-litre Hyundai i10 with 27,000 – AED 32,500
2008 3.8-litre Mitsubishi Galant with 42,000km – AED 39,000
2008 3.0-litre Suzuki Grand Vitara with 64,230km – AED 54,900

To the previous comments: this page is a review of Car Zone not a means to request cars from Car Zone. If you want a car contact Car Zone directly (see their website http://www.carzone.me).

I recently used car zone (Oct 2014) and was very disappointed. I believe Car Zone was set up well and the premise and concept should deliver good cars to happy customers. From my experience I can only say that the staff need more training as they do not deliver on or come close to meeting expectations.
