Bugatti Legends
At last month’s Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, Bugatti debuted the first of five “Legend” Cars, special editions meant to pay tribute to the five most important figures in the French firm’s history. The Jean-Pierre Wimille Edition was a homage to the company’s long standing test driver finished in his own striking blue paint scheme. The base car was the Vitesse, a Grand Sport convertible with the Super Sport 1200bhp engine.

No word on whose name will adorn the latest legend, but you can be sure of one thing – it’s somebody you’ve probably never heard of.

Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti

And the name is Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Jean Bugatti. Only three will be made and it’s a tribute to Jean Bugatti, son of the company’s founder.

It wears a jet black, clear-coated carbon fibre exterior finish and rides on diamond-cut alloys. There’s platinum on the front grille’s surround, with Jean Bugatti’s signature laser-cut onto the fuel and oil caps. Inside there’s chocolate brown leather.
