Another sensational new concept car revealed at Frankfurt was this new Monza concept shown by Opel.
It’s a long-low concept said to be inspired by the original Monza that ran from 77-82, but also drawing on the styling themes set by modern Opels like the Insignia.
The surfaces are said to be ‘modelled after ocean waves lapping on a shore’, whilst the side profile is compared to the ‘lean physique and slim waist of a greyhound dog, running as if on tip-toes’.
It’s all about connectivity and clever electronics now – so this thing has LED projection technology that does away individual instrumentation panels.
18 LED projectors create a fully configurable display across the full length of the sculpted dash in 3D.
In order to go, it employs electric drive with a range extender three-cylinder engine running on CNG (compressed natural gas).
