Mini mania at the  Dubai Autodrome

Spent a few hours at the Dubai Autodrome for the MINI ‘Drive Out Loud’ festival yesterday. Click through to see my pictures and a video fo Russ Swift in action.

An action-packed day out at the Dubai Autodrome for the MINI Festival yesterday saw stunt driving from the legendary Russ Swift, test drives on track, on a handling track and also on an off-road course.

Plus an exhibition of classic and new MINIs – hardly any of them standard – and the first official showing here of the MINI Coupe. There were play areas for kids, a food court, stage performances from break-dancing crews, car graffiti and live music in the evening.

Apart from the fact that the AED 100 per person entry put a lot of people off from attending and the annoyingly grating MC for the event (a sponsorship by Advil headache pills, not Red Bull, would have been more appropriate) it was a great day out and it’s a shame more people didn’t attend.
