2016 Dodge Viper ACR
Fastest street-legal viper track car ever
By Shahzad Sheikh
It’s the return of the ‘American Club Racer’ (ACR) Dodge Viper.
Meet the mental new 2016 Dodge Viper ACR. In addition to the 8.4-litre 645bhp, 600lb ft V10 it gets an extreme aero kit giving it 1 ton of downforce at top speed (285kph) with a adjustable dual-element carbon fibre rear wing, rear diffuser, SRT hood louvres and detachable front splitter and dive panels.
There’s ACR-exclusive Carbon Ceramic Matrix 17 Brembos, race-tuned 10-setting, double adjustable, coil-over Bilstein racing shocks with up to 3 inches of suspension height adjustment.
It has Kumho Ecsta V720 tyres – 292/25/19 at front and 355/30/19 at rear and can manage 1.5g of cornering forces.
This car is street-legal though track-focussed. It goes on sale at the end of this year, but no word or prices, or when, or even if it will come to our region.
