50th Anniversary celebrated in spectacular style in the UAE for Italian supercar marque

None other than the dashing boss of Lamborghini, CEO Stephen Winkelmann, was in Dubai yesterday for a very special parade through Dubai.
50 Lamborghinis set off for a trip starting from Emirates Towers – where these pictures were taken – up to Burj Al Arab and back pass Burj Khalifa yesterday afternoon.
This was part of a series of activities around the globe, by the legendary supercar marque celebrating the 50th anniversary of Lamborghini.
Winkelmann himself took the wheel of the lead car for the parade which treated spectators and bystanders to an extravagant visual feast of some of the most striking and stunning supercars on the planet.
Almost nothing is as wedgy and mad as a Lamborghini, and to hear them start up and rev their outrageous V10s and V12s was a special experience.
So hot are these exotic beauties that they even set fire to the scenery! I’d like to see the exhaust of a Lancer do that!
The owners certainly enjoyed the day too. These guys – who were in the second car in the Parade, spoke of how privileged they felt on this special occasion.
Cars included a variety of Aventadors and Gallardos, plus Murcielagos and a charming Diablo. Click through our exclusive full gallery below.
