Al Ain Classic Car Museum
Still in the making, this oft-overlooked UAE car museum serves up some astonishing gems – see our pics and video!

Set in a tourist park in former Royal Grounds in Al Ain, alongside other museums and leisure facilities, is a little-known old car display packed with exquisite gems and oddball delights. The Al Ain Classic Car Museum was established on 2nd December 2009 by Rashid M Al-Tamini and houses about two-dozen classic cars dating from 1901 to 1980.

If you arrive to find it feels a bit unfinished, that’s because it is. It’s a project in progress that has the potential to be a fascinating and wonderful museum housing cars unique to the UAE and celebrating historic culture including old toys and pictures on display.
Tom Tacker is Technical Curator of the museum and in the video above he takes us on a guided tour of the museum and reveals the amazing details about the cars on display. If you’re even in Al Ain, make sure you don’t pass on the opportunity to stop by and take in this amazing collection.
The Al Ain Classic Car Museum is open Sat-Thu from 9am-5pm and Friday 4:30-9pm with an entry price of AED5 per person (children under 5 go free). It’s located in Al Ain Al Fayda and more details are available on their website http://www.alainclassiccarsmuseum.net
