Chevrolet Camaro demolishes ring in 7:34.40 (video)
The Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has despatched the fearsome Nurburgring in 7:37.40 – that’s four-seconds quicker than the mighty Camaro ZL1, and faster than the 911 Carrera S according to a press release.
And this was done on a wet track!
Driven by development driver, Adam Dean, they reckon they could cut the time by another six seconds in the 505bhp, 7.0-litre LS7-powered Z/28 with its track orientated set-up. Check out the video.
It’s rather terrifying to watch and there’s a heart-stopping sideways moment at around 180kph at 4:45 plus in the last couple of minutes things get quite lairy in the rain!
