The Dubai Motor Show may be over but there’s still plenty of other shows to come. Tokyo’s the next big one on the calendar and while Nissan have already said it’s going to show an 86 fighter, the Japanese bods neglected to mention that it would also be showing this – an utterly bonkers electric three-seater which may even make production.

The BladeGlider (killer name, even I have to admit) clearly takes inspiration from the radical DeltaWing racecar and features the same narrow front end and wide rear for insane amounts of stability. And gullwing doors, because let’s admit it, gullwing doors are really just freaking cool.

The seating arrangement is similar to that of the famous McLaren F1 – a 3+1 with the driver in the centre slightly ahead of his fellow passengers. I’ve always wondered why more cars don’t do the same.

The Tokyo Motor Show runs from Nov 23 to Dec 1. Our very own fearless leader Shahzad Sheikh will be there to you bringing live coverage of this and all the Japanese oddities such to be on display!
