Toyota FT86, aka Just Let Us Buy It Already, Al Futtaim

Even Sharon Stone didn’t put up this much of a tease in Basic Instinct

You know which one you want. But go on, buy an FT86 anyway. More pics after the jump, and some even feature the car.

The FT86 will arrive next year, with a resolutely simple 200bhp engine, a resolutely basic six-speed manual ‘box and an automatic for lazy people who should not be your friends, not even on Facebook.

It is of course, inspired by the famous Hachi Roku of the 1980s, the car that started the drifting craze in Japan.

The original Hachi Roku was rear wheel drive, and so will be this car, with perfectly balanced weight distribution for pinpoint handling.

No, it won’t beating V8 Mustangs in drag races, but it’ll be cheap to run, cheap to fix, modify and in the real world, a whole lot of laughs.

I hope you were paying attention to all the info provided, because there’ll be a test afterwards.
