We’ve Clicked The Secret New 2013 Range Rover

Nothing Escapes Our Eagle Eyes, Except Girls

Relax, we’ve got better pictures. See more, after the jump.

Spotted doing some early morning testing on the Eastern roads of the UAE, this is of course the new 2013 Range Rover, slated to replace the L322 model which has been in production since I was a wee lad (ie, since 2002). That car cost a billion dollars to develop but consequently sold a shedload of units worldwide becoming the defacto boss luxury SUV, so JLR are clearly under pressure to produce a worthy followup. They’re even testing it at the ‘Ring, for God’s sake.

No huge departures in the new shape and it’s still recognisably going to be a Rangey. Notice the steeply rake rear window and the slightly wider footprint; despite the current economic climate, this won’t be a downsized car, ala the new Evoque.

Expect more gadgets, more gizmos, and even less buttons on that sure-to-be-sumptuous new interior. The car we’ll want to retire in when we snag that first million.
