All new Chevrolet Impala for 2013
Big presence – now this is more like it

The new Chevrolet Impala (dubbed 2014 model year, although it will come out early next year) is being debuted at the New York Auto show. The 10th generation large size saloon features sculpted styling with a strong face, muscular profile and distinctive rear (it a little Hyundai-esque).
Inside it appears to be spacious and comfy, with an upmarket look and feel. There’s an eight-inch screen and kit will include Bluetooth Audio streaming and active noise cancellation (with the four-cylinder power units).
There’ll be 10 air bags, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance braking, land departure warnings, blind spot assist and parking systems.
Engines include 2.4-litre 182bhp, 2.5-litre 195bhp and 3.6-litre V6 with 303bhp – there’s no V8. It’s front wheel drive.
The Impala is set to take on the Ford Taurus, Dodge Charger (our favourite car in this sector), Nissan Maxima, Toyota Avalon and Hyundai Azera.
