Aventador and Super Trofeo at Dubai Show
It’s been caught out on the road already, but get an eyeful at the show

You might want to make sure you’re wearing eye-shades this year at the Dubai International Motor Show (kicks off on 10th November and we’ll be reporting live). There’s a couple of very sharp-suited eye-popping cars that will be making their debut – the flagship Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 supercar, and the almost equally mad Gallardo Super Trofeo, revealed at the Frankfurt show last month.
If you’re thinking of picking up an Aventador at the show, think again, it’s presold for over 18 months. The carbon fibre monocoque monster raging bull features a 700bhp V12 6.5-litre blasting to 100kph in an almost Bugatti-embarassing 2.9seconds and on to 350kph!
Alongside the white Bianco Monocerus Aventador will be a Rosso Mars red Super Trofeo Stradale. Only 150 of these will be made – it weights just 1340kg and will reach 320kph and hits 100kph in 3.4seconds, with a rear spoiler producing three times the downforce of a regular Gallardo.
Also on the stand will be yet another utterly mental Gallardo – the LP570-4 Spyder Performante (topless version of the Superleggera) in green Verde Ithaca. Red, white and green? Huh! We get it – the colours of the Italian flag! With Italy celebrating 150 years of unity, that’s a clever touch!
